Reason-Ability
A framework for reasoning and acting well — an overview, four dogmas, and the doubt that keeps it honest.
The Four Dogmas
I The First Dogma: Marginal Gains Why getting 1% better at 100 things beats getting 100% better at one — the compounding power of marginal gains, from British Olympic cycling to mastering anything you choose. II The Second Dogma: One Thing at a Time How Benjamin Franklin's 13x4 system for self-mastery — focusing on just one thing at a time — can be customised to master almost any goal. III The Third Dogma: Discernment Why there is no such thing as proof, only evidence — and the questions to ask before you accept any claim as scientifically proven. IV The Fourth Dogma: A Reasonable Plan The fourth and final dogma of Reason-Ability: your plan of action has to be reasonable — and how the brother-in-law test, plus a simple four-part format, makes what you're doing convincing to anyone.

Reasonable Teaching
The 9×4 — developing the nine characteristics of exceptional teaching, one focus a week across the year. It predates the Reason-Ability umbrella, and is a founding member of the family.
Philosophy & Leadership
Standalone essays on how to see, decide, and lead — a collection rather than a single arc.
The Format
The living-epistemic-work format this site is built to demonstrate.
Nothing matches that.
